Wisdom Teeth :) :) :)?

Okay so i started to get this tooth in the back of my mouth about two monthes ago. It seems like it stop coming out about two-three weeks ago. And i haven%26#039;t started to get my other wisdom teeth. Is something wrong? How long after you started to get one did the other start to come? thank you. I%26#039;m not being paronoid just wondering. lol

Wisdom Teeth :) :) :)?
its completly dependent on ur mouth i only have two wisdom teeth and they wont ever even surface get an e-ray picw/e at the dentist he can tell yah
Reply:my cousin has had 3 sets of permanent teeth because someone keeps knocking them out and they grow back theeth are really wierd that way you dont know if your going to grow them or not
Reply:I have about half of what I think are my wisdom teeth. I guess I%26#039;m not so wise. One on top one opposite side on the bottom.

They%26#039;re more prone to decay in most cases as far as I know - but in my case there was spare room...errr... maybe that has to do with the fact that they%26#039;re not conflicting on the same side?

Welp I%26#039;m not a dentist. One thing is for sure, you%26#039;ll know when you need to see your dentist and he%26#039;ll know how to keep you in good oral health.

:-)
Reply:It varies person to person...personally the process was sloooooow and painful for me. I got all four but each took 6 months to a year to fully grow out and meanwhile i had constant swelling and pain. It may be that it is taking a while for it to come out as it did for me or sometimes they don%26#039;t even come out fully and yout dentist needs to cut your gum to get it out.

One advise...get rid of the ASAP! I had really strait teeth but as my wisdom teeth grew out they pushed my bottom teet together...doesn%26#039;t look so great anymore...same happened with my sis.

Good luck...hope it%26#039;s painless =)
Reply:Nothing Wrong at all,Everyone is unique,it depends upon the space available for the tooth, any interfrences for the tooth eruption or its impacted,so do not bother,if not convienced meet your dentist he would guide u throu this
Reply:You might never get the rest of them. I only had my bottom ones.
Reply:Ask your dentist!

Complications from wisdom tooth removal are rare. They include infection, temporary sinus complications, injury to other teeth, numbness (usually temporary), temporary joint problems in the jaw, and in very rare cases, jaw fracture. If the jaw seems weak after surgery, your doctor may advise avoiding hard foods until the healing is complete.

The outcome of surgery to remove wisdom teeth is often visible: chipmunk cheeks. The good news is the symptoms don%26#039;t last long, and dentists have many ways to minimize swelling or pain. The symptoms rarely last more than 48 to 72 hours.

To allow the area to heal, you should eat only soft foods, soups, and liquids for at least the first two days following surgery. Complications are rare, but you should report any of the following symptoms of infection to your oral surgeon immediately:

• Fever of more than 100 degrees

• Abnormal swelling

• Pain or a bad or salty taste in your mouth, whether or not there%26#039;s discharge from the site

In some cases, blood doesn%26#039;t properly form a clot in the tooth%26#039;s empty socket, leading to a local infection known as %26quot;dry socket%26quot; about 48 hours after surgery. Although painful, the condition is easily treated by placing a medicated dressing on the extraction site.

Of course, some bleeding and swelling around the empty socket is normal. Applying pressure to your gums will usually stop bleeding, and ice helps ease swelling. Dentists advise patients to rinse with warm water and to use ice or a cold pack around the affected area of the jaw to reduce swelling. Patients who don%26#039;t place ice in their mouths or ice packs on their jaw after the procedure are usually the ones in the worst shape when they go to see the dentist for follow-up appointments a few days after surgery.
