Wisdom Teeth?

one of my wisdom teeth is starting to grow in. I dont really have much room back there lol, i was wondering when would it be a good time to get it pulled out before it starts to over crowed and push my teeth out of alignment. And what is the pain level of the getting pulled out?

Wisdom Teeth?
The best person to discuss this with is the dentist. If you opt to have the tooth pulled, it is better to have it done as soon as you can. The tooth will not have roots into the jawbone until it is completely in place for a while, and until then most dentists can remove it in their office using local anesthetic. My daughter had two bottom wisdome teeth removed in this way. She had no problems at all, had it done in the afternoon and was home doing fine that night. She took Motrin for the ache, and was well enough the next day to go out with friends to movies. My son had to have his surgically removed because they impacted, and he was out for nearly a week. If you have it done before trouble starts it%26#039;s not nearly as bad to recover from or to do. If you put it off until there is trouble, then of course, it%26#039;s not as pleasant. So just start with a discussion with the dentist. If you decide to go ahead and do it now, it should be a lot easier on you in the long run. The folks who have problems are the ones who wait, or who have an infection, or whose teeth are not coming in at all. Since thats not your trouble, it shouldn%26#039;t be anything comparible having it removed.
Reply:You should make an appointment to see your dentist soon, they will take xrays and tell you in what time frame you should get them removed. If the wisdom teeth are not impacted then the pain is minimal. Plus they will prescribe you pain medication.
Reply:The dentist pulled all 4 of my widom teeth at the same time and only two of them were starting to come in. They had to cut the other two out. It was a couple of years ago but I don%26#039;t really remember there being much pain. What I do remember is coming off of the ansthetic and getting really sick but I don%26#039;t think that happens to everyone and it only lasted an hour or two. Anyway, you should definitely go see your dentist asap. Good luck!
Reply:You need to see your dentist for more advuce. Also, no matter how severe the pain might be, there may be an anesthesiologist to see to that so no worries. Hakuna matata

Good luck.
Reply:Until recently I had never had a filling, tooth out or anything major done to my mouth.

I was so scared... I went to the dentist as I was constantly in pain (I had all for many years, nearly 15 years) and I thought this isn%26#039;t right, I shouldn%26#039;t have to have pain all the time. Mine were impacted and very set in my mouth so I had to go to the hospital and get them out!

I got them removed the next day as I knew I would chicken out otherwise.

They completely numbed my mouth (with lots and lots of needles and guess what, they didn%26#039;t hurt) and all I felt was the tugging (But not as bad as it sounds.... honest!!!) The most painful part was the dentists hands pulling at my mouth.

Afterwards the bleeding sucked a bit, but stopped after a couple of hours.... I stayed in bed for 2 days on painkillers cause there was NO way I wanted to feel any pain. (lol)

It is worth it though and I wouldn%26#039;t have it any other way... no more pain.
Reply:My OPINION----Have them pulled out before they cause you problems later. The younger you are when you have those wisdom teeth out, the QUICKER you heal. You only have to do it once, UNLIKE your taxes which haunt you for life. Go in with a positive attitude and you will be just fine!!!!
