Wisdom teeth?

I%26#039;m 18 and i can see some white under the gum in the back (not erupted yet). Although my teeth are already crowded - and i don%26#039;t mind that - there is still some room on my gum and i haven%26#039;t felt any pain, just a little bit of pressure that is almost unnoticeable. My question is: how much room do wisdom teeth need to come out vertically? How big are they? I want to keep them...

Wisdom teeth?
Wisdom teeth are deeply impacted in the gums. You might not have issues now, but you might later. The typical reason their removal is that they are hard to reach for cleaning, which leads to cavities, affect the placement of your other teeth. I was in my late 20%26#039;s when my wisdom teeth all came in. If you have healthy brushing habits, and are comfortable once they are completely erupted, most dentists will not pull them unless you request it be done. I%26#039;m aware that you can keep teeth so long as the tooth is not infected, then it%26#039;s medical infectious hazard and the dentist will not permit you to do so.
Reply:i don.t kno the measurements on how much room they need, lol......but i have all four of my wisdom teeth and they are all erupted, have had them that way forever and a dayi refuse to let them take them out cuz they fit........they are bout the same size as the rest or ur molars.......keep em!~!!!
Reply:You need to watch the gum tissue back there. If the tooth is pushing the gum up and you are biting on it at all, it can cause serious tissue problems. Also, if your teeth are crowded already, then there is very little chance that the wisdom teeth have enough room. Often they are removed because they do not come in straight and you run the risk of it damaging the roots of your other molars. Also, they often do not have normal enamel on them and get decay that can not be reached to be fixed and can cause an infection in your jaw, making them hard to removed. Ask your dentist, if he/she suggests you get them out, take their advice and save yourself the money and pain and do it now.
Reply:If they are not affecting you once they erupt, then there%26#039;s no reason to get them removed if you want to keep them. If they feel uncomfortable due to not enough room, then it would be wise to get at least one side of them removed. I only needed to remove the top and bottom on the right side because they were growing on an angle and starting to push my other teeth closer together. One had to be surgically removed (had to have stitches) and the other just pulled out. When they erupt all the way, you%26#039;ll know what you need to do.
